Abstract
Organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) are being commercialized in display applications, and will be potentially in lighting applications in the near future. This paper is about the design of high performance OLEDs, which includes both the electrical and optical design of OLEDs. In particular, the following work is included in this thesis Energy level alignment and charge injection at metal/organic interfaces has been systematically studied. ii) Transition metal oxide anodes have been developed to inject sufficient holes into the OLEDs due to their high work function. The oxide anodes have also been used to systematically study the transport properties in organic semiconductors. iii) Highly simplified OLED devices with unprecedentedly high efficiency have been realized using both fluorescent and phosphorescent emitters. The high performance was enabled by using a high work function metal oxide anode and a hole transport material with very a deep highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO)

Abstract
Fifth generation (5G) wireless networks will target at energy and spectrum efficient solutions to cope with the increasing demands in capacity and energy efficiency. To achieve this joint goal, dense networks of small cells (SCs) are expected to overlay the existing macro cells. In parallel, for the SC connection to the core network, a promising solution lies in a mesh network of high capacity millimeter wave backhaul (BH) links. We considered 5G architecture, spectrum efficiency than the state-of-the-art in 3GPP scenarios.

Abstract
Recently, vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) got much popularity and are now being considered as integral parts of the automobile industry. As a subclass of MANETs, the VANETs are being used in the intelligent transport system (ITS) to support passengers, vehicles, and facilities like road protection, including misadventure warnings and driver succor, along with other infotainment services. The advantages and comforts of VANETs are obvious; however, with the continuous progression in autonomous automobile technologies, VANETs are facing numerous security challenges including DoS, Sybil, impersonation, replay, and related attacks. This paper discusses the characteristics and security issues including attacks and threats at different protocol layers of the VANETs architecture. Moreover, the paper also surveys different countermeasures.

Abstract
ABSTRACT Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs) have emerged recently as one of the most attractive topics for researchers and automotive industries due to their tremendous potential to improve traffic safety, efficiency and other added services. However, VANETs are themselves vulnerable against attacks that can directly lead to the corruption of networks and then possibly provoke big losses of time, money, and even lives. This paper presents a survey of VANETs attacks and solutions in carefully considering other similar works as well as updating new attacks and categorizing them into different classes.
